Delivering Successful Architecture From The Human Point Of View

With over 20 years in practice, my design experience includes residential housing developments, bespoke one-off projects for private clients both rural and urban, barn and byre conversations, cultural, sport, education, conservation, and renovation work. I also led consultant teams on large mixed-use schemes and contextually sensitive projects in York. This has led to a strong understanding around historic structures and the complexities of obtaining planning/ conservation and listed building consent. I have extensive experience of dealing with the challenging on-site construction constraints that all these projects and locations can present.

I have a keen interest in delivering successful architecture from the human point of view and founded MPD Architect Ltd in 2023. By starting from this position and working outwards, solutions naturally respond to each client’s unique and individual needs. Based around a more collaborative approach between client, architect and builder, the practice looks to create high quality contemporary design by unlocking the potential opportunities of each project through an understanding of people and place.
